Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios

Release Date: September 16, 2010

What’s the Big Deal?: It’s a darker Mickey Mouse game that looks like to be the most interesting thing that is coming out of Disney Interactive since who knows when. It’s also probably the most interesting thing ever done with the Mickey character in a long time. With Warren Spector at the helm of this platformer (Developer of Deus Ex and Thief) and introducing an interesting painting mechanic that enables you to create and manipulate the world around you, Epic Mickey is set to be one of the biggest games of next year.

Release Date: TBA 2010

What’s the Big Deal?: I still consider the Golden Sun games as some of the best RPG games ever made, with the series creating some of the best stories ever in JRPG history. For a long time us Golden Sun fans have been waiting and pleading for a sequel to Golden Sun: The Lost Age, with no success. Then suddenly Nintendo announced Golden Sun DS at their 2009 E3 press conference. It almost seemed too good to be true. With almost no details, we now wait for what we hope is a worthy game to the Golden Sun name.

Release Date: February 28, 2010

What’s the Big Deal?: As someone who wishes to one day become a video game writer, Heavy Rain intrigues me to no end. For what seems like the next big step in video game narrative development, I’m worried that its own ambition will be its end. I played the game at PAX ’09, and was impressed with the visuals of the game, the great voice acting, and the impressive digital actors. But as soon as the game gave control to me I felt it became awkward and clunky to the point that it was hindering my experience rather than enhancing it. This adventure/quick time action game has a lot to prove, but I’m very interested in seeing how it turns out.

November NPD’s have launched a Predator Missile at us, and lo and behold! Modern Warfare 2 sells a crap load. Selling 4.20 million on the 360, and 1.87 on the PS3, it’s almost mind-numbing how well this game has sold, even if it was expected.

Other big sellers were New Super Mario Bros. Wii which sold 1.39 million, and Assassin’s Creed 2 which sold 794.7 on the 360, and 448.4 on the PS3. One little thing to note is that Dragon Age: Origins sold 362.1 which is good I suppose, though I’m not liking the game so far.

The hardware side is much more interesting, with the 360 actually beating the PS3! Many people seem surprised over this, saying that the PS3 was going to sell more. But the numbers don’t lie. Also in other uninteresting news the Wii and DS sell a crap load, and the PSP is still a joke.

This is why I still play video games, because there’s still hope for the industry to blow me away.

Phoenix Wright is coming to WiiWare.

Hell.

Yes.

Capcom has announced today that the original three Phoenix Wright games will appear on WiiWare for ten dollars each, starting January the first one will appear, March the second one, and May the last one with the bonus episode “Rise from the Ashes” coming later for a cheap-o price. Sure it’s the game we’ve played before…BUT IT’S MORE PHOENIX WRIGHT!!!111one!

There’s really nothing else updated in these ports apart from new motion controls. Well, one motion control actually. YOU CAN POINT THE WIIMOTE LIKE PHOENIX WRIGHT AND CALL OBJECTION!!! Game over man, game over.

This post it over.
