According to Destructoid, Ubisoft’s Philippe Bergeron was on a German Video Game TV Show called PLAY’D and dropped a couple of ideas for where Assassin’s Creed 3 could take place in.

There are two things that come to mind: There is medieval Europe, which would be very interesting trying to play a King Arthur story line. Another one that is a personal favorite of a lot of people on the floor is feudal Japan, which is something that would be very interesting just culturally to discover and I think also to make players discover as well.”

To be honest another Assassin’s Creed in a Europe-esque setting would be weak, yes I know Assassin’s Creed 1 was in the middle east, but there was a strong European vibe since it was during the crusades. And AC2 will be going to Italy during the time of the renaissance, so I feel like an another adventure in Europe would be pretty uninspired.

Feudal Japan however is a pretty badass idea with a unique setting. It could be during the time of the ninjas and samurai, and you could play as one of the ninja/assassin’s fighting off the samurai rule. Hell, AC1 teased the fact they we might be heading to Japan anyway and fans have being asking to go there for a while now, let’s go already!
